Food insecurity and housing issues are not new issues in Indigenous communities. In fact, they have experienced these issues at higher rates than the average non-Indigenous Canadian. Indigenous people have experienced these challenges as a direct result of colonialism. It is important to note that any solutions need to be found by Indigenous people, for Indigenous people.

To advocate for equitable food security, infrastructure and clean drinking water.
To inform that policy changes and decision-making require Indigenous centred solutions.
