Drawing on Indigenous Strengths to Stay Connected and Well

Health Equity, Indigenous Health, Mental Health

The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) has created a two-page resource with some coping tips for Indigenous people. The FNHA acknowledged the colonial traumas Indigenous people have experienced and provides some cultural and family connections suggestions to the readers. The FNHA ends with contact information for cultural and culturally safe support.

    How to use this resource:

    • To provide suggestions for connections in a culturally-safe way to Indigenous communities and people.

    • To advocate for Indigenous solutions in future health planning in relation to Indigenous communities.
